Commercial Buildings
Advanced IoT sensors are installed in smart commercial buildings to collect data from various building functions and subsystems.
Steel, brick, wood, glass, and stone are just a few of the materials used in commercial structures. They’re complicated environments with a plethora of electricity, networking, heating, cooling, security, and other subsystems that must all be handled in order for the building to be comfortable, safe, and efficient.
Building operators are increasingly adopting the Internet of Things to collect data from building subsystems, allowing them to make these buildings “smart” in ways that enable them better regulate temperatures, improve security, reduce energy use, and otherwise add value to tenants and owners.
